Has a shower on the main staircase, loos on both floors within easy reach. The kitchen on the second floor (which was once the bathroom) is quite petite, but it does the job; there is a four-pot stove with extractor fan, an oven, a microwave, and a (nonfunctional) toaster. It has a nice view over Cloisters, and there's hardly a better windowsill to grow herbs on. The shower is good but leaks. There is a more generous kitchen upstairs on the Top Corridor, which has a microwave that works but grumbles menacingly should you ever try to use it. Accommodation itself varies between 2-room sets and single rooms. Rooms 3, 4 and 6 are music rooms, so expect to hear piano playing of varying qualities if you are anywhere in the staircase. Sound travels a fair bit, and it doesn't help that the stairs are a little creaky, but the trade-off is that the building in general is one of the quietest in Magdalen, if not in Oxford.
